Vintage Norway Yellow & Black Enamel Guilloche Sterling Silver Bracelet Signed EM Einar Modahl
This gorgeous , modernistic, yellow & black enamel guilloché scroll panel bracelet is by Einar Modahl of Oslo, Norway. I don't see any in yellow like this for sale anywhere.
Modahl established his enamelware workshop established in 1920. In 1937 he entered in partnership with Otto Frisch and the business became a limited company. At the death of Modhal (1951) the company continued activity under the management of Otto Frisch. After the death of Frisch (1970) the company closed in 1987.
The bracelet is composed of gorgeous panels showing an abstract design over the guilloché sterling background. Each panel is lightly curved, when looking at it straight down and from the side, and accented with contrasting black enamel within the silver border along the top and bottom. The bracelet closes with a hidden tongue-and-box clasp. The back of the clasp is stamped "925 S STERLING NORWAY" with connected "E" and sideways "M" (looks like a flag) and "N" inside a square.
Condition: Excellent! No damage to the enamel and clasp is secure and functions as intended.
Approximate measurements: 7" long, 0.86" wide
